WALLOWA GUESTHOUSE
WORK IN PROGRESS
2026
This guesthouse in Joseph, Oregon sits at the base of the Wallowa Mountains, providing a private studio space from the main house.
In just 470 SF, this guesthouse has a living room, writer’s desk, bathroom, coffee/tea zone, and sleeps five. Wanting to maximize views out at the writer’s desk, we also did careful sun studies considering the harsh South-Western light. The guesthouse will be turned -10º for the perfect combination of view and sun.
Situated between the main house and the mountains, this new structure doesn’t obstruct views, but fits cozily into the landscape.
