Our clients are new homeowners in Oakland and wanted a piece of furniture which would tie together the adjacent kitchen and living room in their quirky new house. Sit on one side and you’re in the kitchen, sit on the other and you’re in the living room.
This house is the 3D embodiment of a collage- the Bugs’ specialty- and we wanted to add to it without overwhelming. This mahogany bench hangs from cleats tied into the wall, fitting right in structurally and visually, thoughtfully contributing to the collage.
