Vision: Spatial Collage
We propose that layering materials and volumes in 3-Dimensional space is more than an aesthetic strategy: flexibility is a sustainable practice, enriched by layering old and new. It also says something about the relationship of the individual to the collective— one person's intervention is a contribution to a longer heritage of interventions. By privileging dialogue across time instead of single authorship, architecture becomes a record of cultural memory, richer and more resilient for being rooted in the collective history of place.
